Advanced Radiation Technology May Not Be Optimal for Cervical Cancer

The August #RadOnc journal club will be discussing cervical cancer. The article is an analysis of 7654 patients with cervical cancer from the National Cancer Data Base. The study reports on survival outcomes for patients treated with advanced external beam radiation techniques (specifically IMRT or SBRT) vs. brachytherapy.

The first author Dr. Beant Gill will be joining us on Sunday night, August 23^rd from 8-9pm CST to discuss the following questions:

2. What is the NCDB and what information is included this database?
3. What are the important observations from this study population?
4. What are the implications for clinical practice?
